Madrid summer festivals 2026: May to August highlights

Madrid from May to July is like that friend who says, "just one plan," and suddenly you're at three festivals, two after-parties and a recovery afternoon. The key to surviving (and enjoying) isn't doing EVERYTHING: it's choosing wisely based on your energy levels.

If you're into electronic music with visual shows (crazy sets, confetti, performances), this is the "season opener" with a theme park rave vibe. elrow Town 2026 promises a large-scale format (many stages and hours of music), followed by elrow in XXL club mode at Fabrik the next day.

Artists (highlights announced): The full line-up will be shared through official channels; the public event info describes this edition as featuring dozens of artists and stages.

Brunch is the perfect plan for a group: daytime festival, sunshine, well-produced, and you get home at a reasonable hour (well… relatively). The programme itself announces artists by day.

Artists by date (confirmed):

  • 9/5: Dixon b2b Jimi Jules + Maceo Plex (and more)
  • 10/5: Speedy J b2b FJAAK + Marcel Dettmann (and more)
  • 16/5: (according to the official season programme) WhoMadeWho (Hybrid DJ set), Colyn…
  • 17/5: Honey Dijon, DJ Boring b2b DJ Seinfeld…
  • A new festival with a nostalgic twist: rock/ska/pop in Spanish, with that "I know the chorus even if I deny it" mood. First edition at Autocine Madrid.

Artists (confirmed): Seguridad Social, Desorden Público, Los Toreros Muertos, Modestia Aparte, ViniloVersus, King Changó, Horacio Blanco, Bucle Lunar…

The concept here is "chapters": curated electronic music, separate days, and an open-air finale. Ticket sales specify dates and headliners per day.

    Artists (confirmed via ticketing/schedule):

  • 30/5 (Maudes): Argy, Alex Wann…
  • 31/5 (NO ART Madrid, Parque Enrique Tierno Galván): ANOTR, Josh Baker, Prospa (and more)
  • JUNE 2026 — summer begins

This isn't a single "venue": it's the whole of Madrid in concert mode, with programming across multiple venues. Ideal if you want a festival vibe without massive crowds. Artists: the series features over a hundred artists and venues (a very broad line-up; tickets are sold per concert).

A new urban festival in Rivas with a "culture + music" ambition and a line-up tailored to the current scene. Artists (confirmed in announcements): Sticky M.A, Pablo Chill-E, LaBlackie, 8belial… (and more).

This is the "anthems" plan with zero shame: a night to sing along to what you "don't listen to" (but know by heart). IFEMA has published a list of confirmed artists.

Artists (confirmed): Tito El Bambino, De la Ghetto, Juan Magán, Nacho, Cali y el Dandee, Ángel & Khriz, Jory Boy, Wolfine, Dasoul, Henry Méndez, Lorna… and more.

Electronic music in a "festival within a club" format: massive sets, main room vibes, and that "I didn't think I'd end up here" moment. Artists (confirmed): Fisher, Gordo, Wade (more headliners to be announced).

Nostalgia with production value: multiple stages and over 50 artists; perfect for mixed groups (everyone finds "their" era). Artists (confirmed, selection): Vengaboys, C&C Music Factory, Dr Alban, Corona, Whigfield… (and many more across stages).

Hardstyle/uptempo/hardcore: this is for people who consider "warming up" what others call "the end." The official website lists the date and venue. Artists: the line-up is extensive and hard dance-oriented (varies by announcements); communicated through the festival's official channels.

The "official start of summer" for electronic music in Madrid: long night-time hours, macro energy and the "real festival" feeling. Artists (confirmed, selection): Armin van Buuren (19/6), David Guetta (20/6), Korolova, Third Party, Nifra, Nicky Romero, Ely Oaks, Jamie Jones…

The 2000s in indoor mode: 4–5 stages, "generation anthems," no worries about heat/rain. Artists (confirmed, selection): Milk Inc, Kate Ryan, Kiko y Shara, David Civera, King África, Carl Craig, Cristian Varela…

Urban/Latin music in macro mode: two days of big stars, many young acts and the "first big summer event" energy. Artists (confirmed, selection): Anuel AA, Morad, Ñengo Flow, Kidd Voodoo, Young Cister, Rvfv, JC Reyes, Cyril Kamer, Alvama Ice…

This is the "festival for happy grown-ups": concerts in green spaces, good sound, and an audience that comes to enjoy without pushing. 2026 edition runs from 3 June to 31 July (54 concerts). Artists (confirmed, selection): Van Morrison, John Legend, Garbage, Tom Jones, Rubén Blades, Nile Rodgers & Chic, Jean-Michel Jarre, Danny Elfman, The Kooks…

Río Babel is the "mix" festival: Spain + Latin America + pop/rock/indie/urban. Perfect for groups where everyone leans towards a different genre, as the line-up is very diverse. Artists (confirmed, by day – highlights):

  • 3/7: Amaia, La M.O.D.A., La Pegatina, Chambao, Ultraligera…
  • 4/7: The Offspring, Molotov…
  • 5/7: Katy Perry, Bomba Estéreo, La Casa Azul…
  • Madrid's pop-rock macrofestival celebrates its 10th anniversary: 4 days, an international line-up and a city revolving around the event. The organisers publish the line-up per day. Artists (confirmed, highlights): Foo Fighters, Florence + The Machine, Twenty One Pilots, Lorde, Pulp, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Moby, Kings of Leon, Halsey, Pixies, The Black Crowes, David Byrne…

The techno marathon of the summer: several areas, many hours, and a line-up mixing legends with hard sounds. Artists (confirmed, selection): Oscar Mulero, Jeff Mills, DJ Nobu, DVS1, Robert Hood, Tommy Four Seven, Luke Slater/Function/Steve Bicknell (LSD live)…

The "urban summer" plan with a beach aesthetic. As of now, ticketing pages indicate the line-up will be announced soon (still pending official confirmation). Artists: to be announced.

    AUGUST 2026 — Madrid doesn't stop

This isn't a "music festival" in the usual sense: it's the city's cultural festival of the summer (music, theatre, dance, cinema…) with some free programming and some ticketed events. Artists/programming: announced per activity and venue (not as a single "line-up"). Ticket info: for paid events, buy through Madrid Destino's official ticketing.

No tickets needed: it's Madrid in the streets. The 2026 dates appear in municipal calendars and are linked across neighbourhoods (Rastro/Embajadores → Lavapiés → La Latina).
