House rules

So this works for everyone

El Patio isn't just a place to sleep: it's a place to live together. These are the rules that make it work for everyone.

01

Check-in and check-out

Check-in is done at reception. If you're running late, let us know by email or WhatsApp: if we don't hear from you before 05:00 the day after your expected arrival, we'll cancel the booking under the applicable conditions.

You must show a valid physical ID document at reception (ID card, passport or NIE). Photocopies and photos on your phone are not accepted.

If you arrive early, don't worry: we'll keep your luggage at reception while we get your room ready. We also offer late check-out for an extra fee, subject to availability.

02

The deposit and why it exists

We take a deposit of €15 per person per stay, or €30 for weekly stays. If the house rules are respected, it is returned in full on departure.

  • Do not damage, modify or move the hostel's furniture.
  • Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside.
  • Do not disturb other guests, including when coming back from a night out, at any hour.
  • Do not store or consume food or drink inside the rooms.
  • Alcohol may not be kept or consumed anywhere on the premises.
  • Pets are not allowed, except guide dogs.
  • Do not hang objects from the balconies or throw anything out of the windows.
  • No excessive noise outside the permitted hours.
  • Do not invite family or friends without a corresponding booking.
03

Silence from 23:00

From 23:00 there is absolute silence. The rooms are for resting and mutual respect is what makes everything work. We also ask for respectful treatment of the staff and that corridors and beds are kept clear so cleaning can be done.

04

Guests under 18

Minors are welcome as long as they stay in a private room or share with their legal guardians. At check-in the usual details are required — you'll find them in the FAQ.
